The Ekiti Caucus of the House of Representatives joins family, and associates across the country in celebrating the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, GCON, on the occasion of his 61st birthday.
The Caucus acknowledges with appreciation the Speaker’s purposeful stewardship of the House, particularly his commitment to consensus-building, inclusion, and constructive engagement across the membership. These qualities have helped foster a legislative environment where diverse perspectives can find common ground in pursuit of the national interest.
Under his leadership, the House has continued to strengthen its institutional capacity, advance legislative reforms, and deepen its responsiveness to the concerns and aspirations of citizens. His emphasis on a Parliament that is accessible, purposeful, and firmly connected to the people reflects a clear understanding of the legislature’s responsibility to Nigerians.
The Ekiti Caucus also commends the Speaker’s commitment to strengthening the institution beyond the demands of the present, with a focus on building enduring systems and practices that will continue to serve the nation and future generations.
