The House of Representatives has passed two significant legislative proposals at Third Reading, marking the final stage of consideration for both bills.
Among the bills passed was the Federal Polytechnic Act (Amendment) Bill, which seeks to review and strengthen the functions of polytechnics in Nigeria, enhancing their capacity to deliver technical and vocational education in line with evolving national needs.
Also passed was the Bill to Provide for the Assignment of Receivables through Factoring, aimed at establishing legal certainty, promoting transparency, and modernising assignment laws to facilitate improved access to credit and boost domestic and international trade.
Following their passage, both bills will proceed to the next stage of the legislative process.
