Abuja, FCT | Tuesday, October 14, 2025 – The House of Representatives is pleased to announce the release of the Order Paper for today’s legislative sitting at the Green Chamber, in keeping with our enduring commitment to openness, transparency, and participatory governance.

Today’s plenary features a robust legislative agenda with key items including:

– Admittance into the Chamber: Delegation from the Lagos State Office of Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement, Lagos State Government, to observe proceedings.

– Presentation of Bills:

Twenty-six bills are scheduled for first reading, spanning constitutional amendments, healthcare, education, aviation, infrastructure development, artisans’ certification, property valuation, and institutional reform.

– Reports to Be Presented:

Eight reports of the Committee on Health Institutions, led by Rep. Patrick Umoh, on bills establishing new Federal Medical Centres and other health facilities across several states.

Three bills scheduled for second reading, including the Federal Medical Centres Act (Amendment) Bill for the establishment of centres in Ehor (Edo State) and Onicha Igboeze (Ebonyi State), and the Births, Deaths, etc. (Compulsory Registration) Bill.

Consideration of motions on the establishment of the Ibom Deep Seaport in Akwa Ibom State, national reorientation on identity management amid proposed U.S. travel restrictions, and transparent allocation of forfeited housing estates recovered by the EFCC.

Report of the Committee on Science and Technology on the National Commission for Technology Transfer, Acquisition and Promotion Bill.

– Committee Meetings

Scheduled meetings of the Committees on Rules and Business, Public Petitions, and the Ad-hoc Committee on the 2024/2025 Recruitment Exercise into the National Assembly Service Commission.
