The House of Representatives reconvened for plenary on Tuesday, in a solemn session marked by parliamentary tribute and notable partisan realignments within the Green Chamber.
Presiding over the sitting, the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, PhD, CFR, led Members in a deeply reflective valedictory session in honour of the late Rep. Mohammed Danjuma Hassan, Member representing Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency of Kano State.
At the commencement of proceedings, the House received resignation letters from eight Members across party lines, signalling continuing shifts in party alignment within the 10th Assembly ahead of the 2027 National Assembly primaries.
In keeping with parliamentary tradition, the House adjourned plenary in honour of the late Member, as a mark of respect for his service to the nation and to the institution.
