Ikole-Ekiti | Tuesday, September 16, 2025 – The AỌA Constituency Office is pleased to announce a dedicated Empowerment Week for Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) across Ekiti North 1 Federal Constituency. The four-day programme runs from Wednesday, September 17, to Saturday, September 20, 2025, featuring a series of impactful interventions designed to support and uplift members of our disability community.
This initiative reflects our commitment to inclusivity and the empowerment of all constituents, ensuring that no one is left behind.
Programme Highlights:
Wednesday – Saturday (September 17–20, 2025): Series of empowerment activities for PWDs across the constituency.
Thursday, September 18, 2025
Prosthetics Support Project: 10:00 AM at Ekiti State Skills Acquisition Centre, Ilokun, Ado-Ekiti – a total of 131 beneficiaries drawn from communities across Ekiti State will receive prosthetic limbs under this life-changing programme.
Empowerment & Training Programme: 2:00 PM at Oye Civic Centre, Oye-Ekiti – a total of 100 participants, including PWD focal persons from wards, members of the Ekiti State Para-Athletics team, and other PWDs in the constituency, will receive empowerment support and training.
These interventions are designed not only to provide mobility and economic empowerment but also to strengthen the role of PWDs as active contributors to community and state development.
Rep. Akin Rotimi Jr. continues to demonstrate his commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, aligning with the inclusive governance efforts of Governor Biodun Oyebanji and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to ensure that the voices and needs of PWDs are not only heard but tangibly supported.
