On Monday, the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs organised a One-Day Capacity Building Programme on Strengthening Sectoral Policy Communication and Legislative Reporting on Nigeria’s Automotive Industry Development, in collaboration with the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) and Tatito Leadership and Professional Development Academy.
The programme was specifically designed for members of the House Press Corps and media aides, with the objective of deepening sectoral understanding and strengthening the quality, accuracy, and context of parliamentary reporting on Nigeria’s automotive sector.
As Chairman of the Committee, I emphasised in my goodwill remarks that legislative work does not end with lawmaking or oversight. It is completed when policies, reforms, and sectoral interventions are clearly communicated and properly understood by citizens. This initiative reflects a deliberate and structured commitment to building a professional, responsive, and sector-focused legislative media ecosystem within the 10th Assembly.
I appreciate our partners for their collaboration and commend all participants for their engagement and dedication to excellence.
Together, we will continue to advance transparency, accountability, and informed public discourse in support of national development.
