On Sunday, I joined a delegation of Members of the National Assembly, led by the Senate President, His Excellency Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, PhD, CFR, alongside friends and well-wishers, at the installation ceremony of Senator Abdul’Aziz Yari as the Obaloyin of Yorubaland and Barrister Seyi Tinubu as the Okanlomo of Yorubaland. The ceremony was held at the palace of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, the Alaafin of Oyo.

I congratulate Senator Abdul’Aziz Yari and Barrister Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, on these well-deserved honours, which recognise their contributions to leadership, service, and cultural harmony.

I also appreciate His Imperial Majesty, the Alaafin of Oyo, for graciously hosting this historic ceremony, a true celebration of tradition, unity, and national pride.
