Today, the House of Representatives addressed a broad spectrum of national priorities, spanning human capital, education, healthcare, and agriculture.

Lawmakers directed health regulatory bodies to expand internships for nursing, pharmacy, and allied health graduates and advanced bills supporting agricultural research.

In governance, security, and economic oversight, the House demanded urgent diplomatic action for the clearance of Nigerian military aircraft in Burkina Faso and resolved to investigate the dispute between NMDPRA and Dangote Refinery over importation licences.

Nine bills were passed to expand tertiary education and improve access to specialised healthcare, while four others progressed to Committee Stage after Second Reading. Seven new bills, including amendments to the Discrimination Against Persons with Disability Prohibition Act, were read for the First Time, and two citizen petitions were received.

Infrastructure and public safety featured prominently, with directives for emergency repairs on the Umuma Isiaku–Nkwerre Road and expedited rehabilitation of the Abuja–Lokoja Highway.

The House also paid tribute to the late Bayelsa Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Oborawharievwo Ewhrudjakpo.
