At its plenary on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, the House of Representatives constituted a new Ad Hoc Committee to investigate the total funds recovered from the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) during the 2024–2025 investigations and to ascertain their current status and custodianship.

The Committee is further mandated to identify all factors responsible for delays in releasing these funds to the appropriate agencies, with the objective of facilitating the prompt recommencement of the social investment programmes.

It will also engage relevant institutions to obtain all necessary information and clarifications on the recovered funds and to secure a clear implementation and disbursement plan from NSIPA detailing how the funds will be utilised once released.
