The House of Representatives, during its sitting on Thursday, November 13, 2025, presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, GCON, successfully debated the general principles of six critical bills.

Following deliberations, all six legislative proposals were read for a second time and referred to the relevant Standing Committees for detailed scrutiny and further legislative action.

The bills successfully debated and referred to Committees are:

1. Nigeria Mines Rangers Service (Establishment) Bill

2. Federal College of Nursing and Midwifery, Dala, Kano State (Establishment) Bill: This bill seeks to expand access to and enhance the quality of healthcare training institutions in the country.

3. Constitution Alteration Bill (Creation of Additional Local Government Area in Plateau State) and for Related Matters

4. Constitution Alteration Bill (Creation of Additional Local Government Areas in Imo State) and for Related Matters

5. Federal Capital Displaced Original Inhabitants Resettlement and Integration Agency (Establishment) Bill

6. Bill on Regulation of Herbal Drugs (AGBO) and for Related Matters

The advancement of these bills demonstrates the 10th Assembly’s commitment to addressing pressing national issues across security, health, education, constitutional reform, and social welfare.
