Abuja, FCT | Tuesday, October 7, 2025 – The House of Representatives is pleased to announce the release of the Order Paper for today’s legislative sitting, in keeping with our commitment to transparency, openness, and participatory governance.
Today’s plenary at the Green Chamber will feature a full legislative agenda, including:
Admittance into the Chamber: Delegation of Members of the Committee on Independent Constitutional Bodies of the Parliament of Ghana, and His Excellency Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu, former Deputy Governor of Edo State.
Presentation of Bills: Eleven bills scheduled for First Reading, covering constitutional reform, education, infrastructure, and institutional development.
Presentation of Report: Report of the Ad-hoc Committee on Rivers State Oversight of the Emergency Administration in Rivers State.
Bills for Second Reading: Two bills, including constitutional alteration for the creation of additional Local Government Areas in Gombe State, and the Chartered Institute of Business Development of Nigeria (Establishment) Bill.
Motions: Consideration of motions on the completion of the Nigeria Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) Centre in Delta State, and on strengthening security infrastructure in rural communities of Kebbi State and across Nigeria.
Committee Meetings: Scheduled sessions of the Committees on Rules and Business, and Public Petitions.
