Recently, I had the honour of inspecting some of our ongoing construction projects with Architect Temitope Oni, Director-General of the Ekiti State Bureau of Asset Management, to ensure these critical social infrastructure projects in the constituency meet the highest standards.

Upon completion, these projects will be handed over to the Government of Ekiti State. It is therefore essential that the Governor and relevant officials are carried along and involved in the process to ensure the projects meet the required standards in all respects.

During the inspection, we visited the Motherless Babies Home in Itapa Ekiti and the School for Inclusive Learning in Imojo-Ekiti, both designed to serve vulnerable members of our community. Architect Oni provided valuable insights into how we can ensure these facilities are not only safe but also accessible to persons with disabilities.

As an accomplished Architect and Construction Project Manager, Architect Oni and her team are working closely to ensure the projects align with the State’s policies on social infrastructure and services. Her guidance has helped identify key improvements to ensure the final outcomes meet the highest standards of excellence, safety, and inclusivity.

I am grateful to the Governor for fostering collaboration with the National Assembly Caucus, which is key to the success of these initiatives. I also thank Princess Adetoun Adegbola, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Education, for her continued support in making these projects inclusive and responsive to the community’s needs.

I believe in the power of collaboration at all levels of government to drive sustainable development. This engagement ensures the construction projects align with our goal of delivering safe, accessible, and high-quality infrastructure for all.

I look forward to continued collaboration to successfully complete these important projects, which will significantly contribute to Ekiti State’s development and improve the quality of life for its citizens.

Rep. Akin Rotimi, Jr.
