ABUJA-FCT | Friday, April 5, 2024 – Rep. Akin Rotimi, Jr. extends heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Dr. Maureen Tamuno on her recent appointment as the Managing Director of Abuja Investment Company Limited (AICL) by the Hon. Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Wike.
Rep. Rotimi had the privilege of meeting Dr. Tamuno during his official visit to Jamaica last year, where he experienced firsthand her patriotism and dedication to excellence. Her appointment is a testament to her vast experience and remarkable achievements in both the public, private, and diplomatic sectors.
In a statement released on Thursday, Minister Wike described Dr. Tamuno as an experienced public officer, entrepreneur, and diplomat. Her tenure as the Nigerian High Commissioner to Jamaica, Belize, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic has further enriched her understanding of international relations and diplomacy.
Dr. Maureen Tamuno’s career spans over three decades, during which she has excelled in various leadership, supervisory, and management roles. Starting her career in the formal private sector management in 1990, she has since ventured into governance, politics, private enterprises, philanthropic, and non-governmental organizations.
Rep. Rotimi expressed his confidence in Dr. Tamuno’s ability to lead AICL to greater heights and contribute significantly to the economic development of the Federal Capital Territory. He stated, “Dr. Tamuno’s appointment is a well-deserved recognition of her outstanding qualities and commitment to service. I have no doubt that she will excel in her new role and continue to make significant contributions to our nation’s development.”
