Today, I celebrate you with a heart full of gratitude, not only for the distinguished leader you are, but also for the mentor and role model you have been to me over the years.

Your impact on my journey in public service began long before I found myself in Parliament. Your legacy first guided my work in the Communications Office of the Government of Ekiti State as far back as 2010. I remember how the late former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, H.E. Mrs. Funmi Olayinka, of blessed memory, introduced our team to the materials and legacy of your tenure as Commissioner for Information in Lagos State.

Those materials profoundly shaped my understanding of strategic communication, public information management and, most importantly, the responsibility of using communication to build trust between government and the people. That early influence has stayed with me and continues to inform my work today as Spokesman of the House of Representatives.

Beyond the legacy you established in public communication, I am especially grateful for your personal guidance, encouragement, counsel and leadership. These have meant a great deal to me, particularly in my legislative journey. As Chairman of the Ekiti State National Assembly Caucus, your leadership has continued to provide direction, wisdom and reassurance.

I do not take your support and guidance for granted. I remain deeply appreciative of the privilege of learning from your wealth of experience and of the example you continue to set in public service. Your leadership challenges me to serve with greater purpose, courage, discipline and responsibility.

On your birthday, I pray that Almighty God continues to bless you abundantly, grant you sound health, renewed strength and greater wisdom, and preserve you for many more years of impactful service to Ekiti State, Nigeria and humanity.

Thank you, Distinguished Senator, for the guidance, the encouragement, the example and the enduring influence you have had on my journey in public service.

Happy Birthday, Sir. Many happy and fulfilling returns.

With deepest respect, appreciation and warm regards,

Rep. Akintunde Rotimi, Jr.
