On the occasion of his 45th birthday, I extend my sincere felicitations to Rep. Akin Rotimi, a dear mentee, honourable colleague, and diligent successor as Spokesman of the House of Representatives.

Building on the foundation I laid as Spokesman in the 9th Assembly, Rep. Rotimi’s leadership of the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs has brought renewed depth and discipline to the communication architecture of the House. In his role, he has demonstrated clarity of thought, balance in presentation, and a firm commitment to truth, ensuring that the work of the House is effectively conveyed to the Nigerian people.

He has sustained institutional continuity while introducing thoughtful improvements that have strengthened public engagement and deepened understanding of parliamentary work.

Within the House Committee on Constitution Review, where he represents Ekiti, his contributions have been commendable. He has consistently demonstrated a constructive and solution-oriented approach to national discourse, with a clear appreciation of the importance of inclusive constitutional reform to the advancement of our democracy.

As he marks this milestone at 45, I acknowledge his steady growth as a parliamentarian and his unwavering commitment to public service. May he be further strengthened with wisdom, clarity of purpose, and renewed energy as he continues to contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
