Abuja, FCT | Wednesday, October 8, 2025 – The House of Representatives is pleased to announce the release of the Order Paper for today’s legislative sitting, reflecting our continued commitment to transparency and participatory lawmaking in the Third Session of the 10th National Assembly.
Today’s plenary proceedings at the Green Chamber include:
* Admittance into the Chamber: Delegation of Members of the Committee on Independent Constitutional Bodies of the Parliament of Ghana.
* Presentation of Bills: Thirteen bills scheduled for First Reading, including the Drivers’ Welfare and Social Security Bill, the Nigeria Consumer Credit Corporation (Establishment) Bill, the Federal University of Agriculture, Eti-Osa (Establishment) Bill, several constitutional alteration bills on creation of Local Government Areas, State Constituencies, and Ose State, among others.
* Presentation of Report:* Report of the Ad-hoc Committee on Rivers State Oversight of the Emergency Administration in Rivers State.
* Bills for Second Reading: Constitution Alteration (Creation of Local Government Areas in Gombe State), Chartered Institute of Business Development of Nigeria (Establishment) Bill, and the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act (Amendment) Bill.
* Motions: Key motions on (i) reconstruction of the Kabba–Egbe Road, (ii) completion of the Nigeria Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) Centre, Effuruntor, Delta State, (iii) strengthening security in rural communities of Kebbi State and across Nigeria, and (iv) investigation of alleged abuse and mismanagement by the Federal Scholarship Board affecting Nigerian students abroad.
* Committee Meetings: Standing and Ad-hoc Committees including Rules and Business, Public Petitions, Delegated Legislation, National Security and Intelligence (Public Hearing), as well as inaugural meetings of Ad-hoc Committees on the National Assembly Service Commission Recruitment Exercise, and Agricultural Subsidy Intervention Fund, Aids and Grants.
