On behalf of the good people of Ekiti North 1 Federal Constituency, comprising Ikole and Oye Local Governments, I join the family, friends, and loved ones in celebrating the life and enduring legacy of the late Eye Felicia D. Oke. A matriarch whose wisdom, strength, and grace profoundly touched all who knew her, Eye Felicia Oke was the beloved mother of High Chief Dr. Jimi Oke, Former Member of the House of Representatives and The Oloja Araromi of Oye Ekiti, whose exemplary leadership continues to inspire us all.
Though personal family matters have kept me from being there in person to honor her memory as she is laid to rest today, my thoughts and prayers are with my esteemed predecessor and all those who mourn her during this time of reflection. Eye Felicia Oke’s long life is a testament to her unwavering devotion to family, faith, and service. Her legacy of resilience and compassion will forever serve as a guiding light to us all.
I also wish to take this opportunity to honor her son, High Chief Dr. Jimi Oke, who continues to lead a life of impact through his distinguished medical practice and tireless community service, following in his mother’s footsteps of noble leadership. It was a privilege to meet him recently when I paid a condolence visit, and I am certain his mother’s legacy will continue to inspire him in his many endeavors.
May her soul rest in perfect peace, and may her legacy continue to inspire and strengthen our resolve to serve our communities with the same dedication and commitment she demonstrated throughout her life.
With deepest sympathy and respect,
Rep. Akin Rotimi, Jr.
Member, House of Representatives
