The House of Representatives extends its heartfelt wishes to all Nigerians as we usher in the year 2025.
The year 2024 presented both challenges and successes, highlighting the strength of our collective resilience. As we step into the new year, 2025 brings with it a renewed sense of hope, a fresh opportunity to reflect on the lessons learned, and the promise of a brighter future.
This is a moment to reaffirm our commitment to unity as a nation, redouble our efforts to overcome the hurdles before us, and work together towards the shared goal of national progress and prosperity.
In his New Year message, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, GCON, expressed optimism for 2025 and emphasised the need for continued unity and support for leaders at all levels of government.
“As a nation, we have many reasons to rejoice, as our Creator has granted us the privilege of witnessing a successful 2024. In the upcoming year 2025, I am hopeful that positive changes will occur.
Through the concerted efforts of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, I believe we can address most of the current challenges we face as a nation. Let us remain hopeful and united as one people. Together, we will emerge stronger and triumph over our obstacles,” Speaker Abbas said.
The House of Representatives, as the “People’s House,” reaffirms its commitment to prioritising the welfare of Nigerians. Guided by our Legislative Agenda (2023–2027), we will continue to advocate for policies that address the pressing needs of our citizens—focusing on security, economic empowerment, education, healthcare, and social justice.
Our goal is to ensure that these reforms bring tangible, positive change to all Nigerians, particularly the most vulnerable among us.
As we embark on the journey of 2025, the House of Representatives prays for peace, prosperity, and progress in every Nigerian household. We stand together with you and remain committed to the promise of a stronger, better Nigeria for all.
Signed:
Rep. Akin Rotimi Jr.
