Today, we celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child, a global movement to recognize the rights and potential of our girls. As a representative of the people, I reaffirm my commitment to empowering girls in our community and ensuring they have access to quality education, healthcare, and opportunities for growth.
The theme ‘Our Time is Now – Our Rights, Our Future’ resonates deeply with me, as I believe that every girl deserves to live a life free from discrimination, violence, and inequality. It is our collective responsibility to create an environment where girls can thrive and reach their full potential.
As we mark this special day, I pledge to continue advocating for policies and programs that promote girls’ empowerment and protection. I urge all stakeholders, including government, civil society, and individuals, to join forces in this quest.
