In furtherance of his commitment to youth empowerment and capacity development, Rep. Akin Rotimi, Jr., the Honourable Member representing Ekiti North 1 (Ikole/Oye) Federal Constituency, has facilitated the participation of Mr. Saliu Odunayo, a constituent from Oye Local Government Area, in the prestigious Seminar on Chinese Modernization and China-Africa Cooperation, taking place in Beijing, China, from April 23 to May 6, 2025.
The seminar is sponsored by the Government of the People’s Republic of China and organized by the International Cooperation Center (ICC) of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). The programme is designed to foster mutual learning and international cooperation by exposing participants to China’s development experience in areas such as infrastructure, governance, poverty alleviation, and economic transformation.
Notably, Mr. Odunayo is undertaking international travel for the first time through this opportunity, which was facilitated by Rep. Rotimi as part of his vision to expose young constituents to global best practices and inspire homegrown leadership in development.
In a similar development, the AkinỌmỌAkin Constituency Office celebrates the participation of Mr. Olalekan Amoran from Ikole Local Government, who concluded a comprehensive agricultural training programme at the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology in Taipei, Taiwan.
Mr. Amoran was one of the African participants in the Intensive Training Course for African Elites 2024, a 30-day course focused on advanced agricultural practices, including sustainable farming, soil and fertilizer management, animal husbandry, pesticide safety, fruit tree cultivation, ranching, plant nutrition, and low-carbon rice production.
Mr. Amoran has since returned to Nigeria and is already working to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the training to advance his career in agribusiness. His ongoing efforts are focused on improving agricultural practices and exploring new approaches to food production, with the potential to positively impact youth engagement in the sector across the constituency.
The AkinỌmỌAkin Constituency Office extends hearty congratulations to both constituents and remains resolute in its mission to promote strategic, people-focused representation through global partnerships and developmental opportunities.
Signed:
Sunkanmi Bamigboye
Spokesman, AkinỌmỌAkin Constituency Office
