On Monday, we advanced agricultural productivity in Ikole and Oye communities within Ekiti North 1 Federal Constituency by distributing 2,757 bags of fertilizer (1,757 NPK and 1,000 Urea) to genuine farmers, cooperatives, and stakeholders for better crop yields and improved livelihoods.
This initiative underscores our commitment to supporting grassroots farmers and ensuring food security across the constituency.
Fertilizer Distribution Breakdown
1. Wards: 1,920 bags (50 NPK + 30 Urea per ward) allocated to 24 wards (80 bags each) for grassroots farmers.
2. LG/LCDA Chairmen: 560 bags (50 NPK + 20 Urea each) for farmers in 8 localities.
3. State Assembly Honourables: 140 bags (25 NPK + 10 Urea each) for distribution in 4 constituencies.
4. AOA Constituency Office: 67 bags (47 NPK + 20 Urea) for constituents who requested fertilizers.
5. LG Party Chairmen: 40 bags (10 NPK + 10 Urea each) for strategic deployment to farmers in need.
Total Fertilizer Distributed: 2,757 bags
Those receiving these materials have strict instructions to ensure equitable distribution to genuine farmers, regardless of party affiliation or indigene status, fostering inclusivity and fairness.
