In my legislative work, I look forward to sharing more about collaborations with civil society organizations (CSOs) and individuals who don’t just agonize over our challenges but actively work alongside us to address these issues.

A recent example is the Sexual Harassment in Tertiary Educational Institutions Prohibition Bill, which benefited greatly from the efforts of two Ekiti kinsmen: Omowunmi Ogunmoroti, CEO of Gender Mobile, and Hon. Sunday Asefon, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Student Affairs. Their input has been instrumental in shaping this vital legislation aimed at safeguarding students across our tertiary institutions.

It is to their credit that this bill has successfully passed in the House, reflecting the impact of their dedication. Their commitment exemplifies how, together, we can indeed be greater than the sum of our individual parts.
